Anthony “ACE” Cabral Teaching Two Sessions at Filmscape Chicago
Anthony “ACE” Cabral will return to Filmscape Chicago this year to teach two sessions focused on practical filmmaking, prep, and production workflow.
Filmscape Chicago is a free film expo that brings together filmmakers, crew, vendors, educators, and industry professionals for a weekend of hands-on learning, conversation, and community. You can register for free here and view the full Filmscape schedule here.
Introduction to Film Breakdown and Scheduling
Sunday 6/28 at 11AM
This class walks filmmakers through how to read a script through a production lens and begin identifying the elements that shape a real shooting schedule. The session will cover breakdown basics, production logic, scheduling priorities, and how early prep decisions affect the shoot. The goal is to give directors, producers, assistant directors, and emerging crew a practical understanding of how a script becomes a plan.
AI for Filmmakers: Practical Tools for Development, Prep, and Production
Saturday 6/27 at 11AM
Presented with Brett Hays
This session shows filmmakers how AI can support real creative and production workflows without replacing the filmmaker, the crew, or the decision-making process. ACE and Brett Hays will focus on practical uses of AI tools to create solutions for production workflow problems. The class is designed to help attendees understand AI as a useful support tool for building stronger systems and asking better questions.
ACE is looking forward to being part of this year’s Filmscape programming and connecting with attendees throughout the weekend.
